goAt, a “rock-nerd dream”? First off, why would you call a “rock-nerd” show a metal show? If it weren’t for the occasional metal musician on the show, it would be false advertising.

More importantly, is it a rock-nerd dream? Or is it the dream of someone who fills up three hard drives with Led Zeppelin bootlegs, and complains about how new music sucks so much? Since, after all, that’s really all that happens on this show. They talk solely about classics, put their utterly useless knowledge of said classics to the test, and then do “picks of the week” that–you guessed it–sound like classics.

So, in a nutshell: It’s not metal (despite its bold claim), and it’s not interesting.

Fuck Eddie Trunk, seriously.

Actually, the only reason I was “OK” with Craig was that I am never in a position where I would watch his show. It just seems crazy to watch something at 1:30am on CBS. Though, I suppose if there was a better option I would go there and watch…maybe. I feel like the real competition comes at 11 and midnight. Well, I did condemn Carson Daly … I mean in a 14 minute blog how well-conceived can these reviews be?
