Eddie Trunk is a moron, and so are the other two ‘hosts’. That Metal Show has little to do with metal. Then again, some people believe Porcupine Tree is metal. How stupid is that. Headbanger’s Ball on MTV is awful because of the quality of music that is shown. Much of it is too distorted to listen to anymore. Plus MTV keeps moving the show around, changing the length of the show, showing stupid hip hop commercials, etc.

VH1 Classic is a joke. They repeat the same shows and concert videos over and over. They air them any time during the day. There is absolutely no logic to their programming schedule. And you can’t even contact the bastards to complain about how shitty their programming is!

Metal Mania is an embarrassment because it is mostly a rock/hard rock show. There are very few metal videos shown. Bon Jovi? Poison? What the hell?

There is not much true metal around anymore. A bunch of geeks with a guitar and a screaming, incoherent lead singer who can’t sing can be in a ‘metal’ band.

Interesting I just came across this post tonight and as a White American whom just returned this semester from Cairo University (study abroad) I have to say that you are completely off base. I noticed how you how you show pictures of modern Egyptians like President Hosni Mubarak but fail to mention that Arabs didn’t invade Egypt 639AD. And the oldest Dynasty (1000 year kingdom) was founded in 4600 BC.

Food for thought I’m sure George Bush or Barack Obama is a clear representation of an Ancient Native American.

I think I need to correct a few details of your description of the Chuck Schuldiner contest, heh. But a better idea is to go to http://www.EmptyWords.org, the official Death/Schuldiner website, and read the August 7th, 2009 news entry. That’ll explain everything.

Few points: The album is only partially recorded. The funding is to help the other members finish recording their tracks for the album and all the necessary points that come after that (promotion, distribution, etc). The fee is actually 25 dollars, not 30. And while you do get a t-shirt, the contest itself is an essay contest which will be judged by (presumably) the family. Anyway, just check out the site.

You neglect to summarize the movie “Matchstick Men,” which I think comes pretty close to “Adaptation” in terms of movie quality. I’ll help: Cage is an agoraphobic con artist with a severe twitch. Pretty intense twist ending too. You should check it out (forget i said anything about the crazy plot twist.)
