I Need to Move.
You may or may not know that I currently reside in the hippy college town of New Paltz, NY – where I’m finishing up school. What you may not know is that I live in a shitty little apartment above a toy store. This is all well and good for a few reasons – it’s cheap, it’s close to the bars (and school), I get a great people watching view from my windows (of which there are six in my room alone) and perhaps best of all it’s a landmark (it was like the first school in NY or something a few hundred years ago)
It’s also not so great for a few other reasons.
First, the entire apartment is on a slant. I guess it’s an eastward slant and it’s pretty understandable considering the building’s age. It’s also located a little too close to a few frats and, while I enjoy people watching (especially drunk people), sometimes it’s a bit much. I also mentioned it’s a cheap place and with cheap places comes many problems; not the least of which is the ever present wildlife in my ceiling.
On any given morning when I wake up around 9, I can hear dozens of squirrels fighting over whatever they might be fighting about directly overhead. They even managed to make a hole in our kitchen wall which I wish I had a picture of. Luckily, there is a small piece of chicken wire keeping them from entering my cooking quarters. At this point though, I’m pretty positive they’re getting big enough to fall through the decades-old ceiling.
I really don’t mind the squirrels however, because they’ve never made a guest appearance in my room.
This took place at roughly 9:25 AM after I had just taken a shower:
I’m happy I had my wits about me enough to capture it on film. I’m not so happy it happened. The little fucker shit on one of my windows and my George Foreman grill.

[...] For some reason, me and Roy think everyone cares about where we live and what we do. Lucky for you, we’re moving into a new apartment together so we’ll be able to pump out mores podcasts/posts for you to listen to and read. But until then, theese are the conditions in which we’re living and working. Behind the jump is a video of Roy’s room and some pics of our portable studio (it’s not really a studio). And if you’re interested in my room go here. [...]
