My Top 5 Hottest Girls (Or Groups of Girls)… In 1999
1999 was a particularly special year in music. Backstreet Boys broke the single week sales record, Fred Durst was still cool, Eminem was the coolest thing your parents wouldn’t let you listen to and, for you metal kids (or anyone seeking a legitimate musical milestone in 1999) Mastodon formed.
Not only was vapid music polluting the airwaves and TRL, but 1999 was when I decided to start spending an insane amount of time alone in my basement watching TV – I truly feel this time in my life shaped me into the man I am now. Please excuse me if, by the end of this list, my spelling and grammar become erratic. I’m probably operating with one hand.
5) Pamela Anderson
If this was a list of hotties from 1998, Ms. Anderson would rate a hell of a lot higher, but as we all know 1999 was the year of implantless Pam Anderson. Luckily, in the new millenium she put em back and made them even bigger! Not so luckily, she’s got Hep C. Good luck Mr. Rock.
4) The Man Show Juggies
Every time I watched a rerun of The Man Show I prayed it was this one. The Man Show was fucking awesome (before Joe Rogan and Doug Stanhope sucked the life out of it). It was chock full of bad sketches, beer chugging old men and extremely tame dancers. I think its appeal really came from the “I probably shouldn’t be watching this” feeling I got every time it was on.
3) Anyone wearing a bikini on MTV’s Spring Break
When I originally thought of this one, I had in mind the bikini fashion shows and The Grind, but this clip is pretty sweet also. Thanks to YouTube user aislebegood for editing the dudes out. This shit was off the hook back in the day.
2. Britney Spears
This is an easy one… The album cover alone was spank-worthy – the videos that followed were soul-shattering.
1. Topanga Lawrence
Don’t bother correcting me if I’m wrong, but I believe somewhere around 1999 is when the show got this sweet intro and the writing and acting really stepped up. I mean, Corey getting drunk? Topanga dating another dude? College? Serious shit was going down and I was there every TGIF to watch it. Funnily enough my prayers for a Topanga spin off show were never answered. Also, in doing a little research, it appears Ms. Fischel starred in National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze and Dorm Daze II… Who knew?
