NEW SITE (again…)
For those of you who have been with us from the beginning you might be shocked that we’ve redesigned the site again.
This time it’s basically for good. We’ve switched from doing everything manually to a WordPress format. The hand-coding for updates was too insane and this new format allows for better, more centralized content management as well as quicker browsing for YOU.
I think in changing the site, we’ve finally found our voice as well. At first the site started as a way for James and I to meet our favorite bands. It’s now evolved into a completely different beast. We have four consistent contributors (Roy, Frank, Patty and me), a weekly podcast, a weekly live show and more ideas than we know what to do with.
While brainstorming with Roy, it occurred to us that instead of ignoring/shrugging off the obvious differences in taste between the two halves of the site (the two metal dudes and the lesbian indie couple) we decided it would be way better for everyone if we just embraced them.
We have interviews coming up with people from all genres and tastes (specifically Soilent Green and Phil Elvrum of the Microphones in the foreseeable future).
Hopefully you’ll find the categories at the right of the site useful and easy to navigate. If you have any suggestions or questions feel free to email any of us – our emails are all posted on the Contact Page to the right.
Unfortunately, in the process of switching from our previous blog service to WordPress, we lost all your wonderful comments – so post them again! (If you want… if not just keep participating on the new posts).
