SmartassRadio 35: Live Show Novembeard 23, 2008

This is our live show from November 23, 2008. It’s a nice long one featuring our friend MEG!!! She showed up a little late, in the meantime we discussed some other stuff – my pathetic descent into living at home in a few months, Chinese Democracy, etc. Then, Meg showed up and rapped a verse from Limp Bizkit’s Nookie“, dropped a curse on us and generally add some electicity to the already high energy show. Enjoy!

SmartassRadio 34: Live Show Novembeard 13 2008

Hey guys – sorry if you were waiting in anticipation of last week’s podcast. Me and Roy did the live show but it just sucked ass so we figured instead of making you suffer through that, we’d just skip a week.

This week’s (very long) podcast includes some Romantic Roy, a lengthy discussion of possible post-college careers for each of us and of course tons of wacky news! Enjoy!

SmartassRadio 33: Live Show Novembeard 3, 2008

Like all good things, updates from Smartass Radio come in waves. Below this post is our first internet-conducted interview done by Roy with Griffin Rodriguez of the Icy Demons. This post, however concerns our first show since the end of Rocktober. It’s actually a very good one. We did a music show during our normal time (Sunday 10PM-Midnight WFNP.ORG) and covered for our good friend Tony G on Monday night from 11-1.

It must have been something about being in a different time slot and the phones being broke, because we did a kickass show. The only glitch lies in the fact that I forgot to start recording it from the beginning, so you miss our sweet intro and the first 5 minutes of the show (which sucked anyway). Anyway, topics include: Badass Animals, Are Me and Roy Gay?, Who has the coolest major? and of course Romantic Roy. Hope you enjoy.

Smartass Radio 32: Live Show Rocktober 27th, 2008

Hey d00ds, this is the latest live show. Sorry for the delay… we’re working tirelessly on making Halloween as fun as possible for ourselves. So, the site gets neglected.

Anyway, the show’s a good one. We debuted a new bit called “Romantic Roy”. From now until eternity feel free to call in to the live show with any romantic or sexual queries. If his prowess intimidates you, feel free to drop a line to DJ@SmartassRadio.com or Roy@SmartassRadio.com.

We’re only 2 days from Halloween and the unfortunate conclusion to Rocktober. We’ll be sure to inform you how Roy’s first night of drinking ever goes on the next show along with a Halloween costume review.

SmartassRadio 31: Scarecast Rocktober 19, 2008

So in our best Rocktober effort yet, Roy and I bring you this. A pseudo ole timey radio narrative. It is rich with sound effects, a full orchestral score and plenty of inventive and well trained voiceover work. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Without further ado, I cordially invite you to take part in the mystery and intrigue that follows Norm Bellows, Gary “The Gooch” Wallace, Beth Apples, and Nina Regular on Eerie Isle.

SmartassRadio 30: Live Show Rocktober 12, 2008

Hey guys, sorry about last week… Somehow I lost the second half of the show and the first half was just not worthy of posting to it’s own podcast.

This week was a good one though. We found ourselves in the midst of Rocktober and as such we covered potential Halloween costumes, the best ways to scare Roy’s housemates, Roy’s idea for a sweet ass horror movie and my complete inability to do anything funny or creative on the show.

Thanks to all the callers this week… Keep ‘em coming!

Podcast 26: Live Show September 28 2008

Here’s an extra long one for ya… over at the Edge we missed Tony G for the weekend, so we stayed on and covered the Metal Show in pop flavored rock n’ roll. This show includes the Smartass Olympics, a minute and a half of early 90s college radio (if it were done by elementary schoolers), a guest appearance from Neighbor John of The Garage Sale, and some other shit I didn’t bother to listen back to.

Oh yeah, and next week kicks off Rocktober – I hope you’re ready.
